Following on the success of the original "From Bedrooms To Billions" this next instalment

gives you an insiders look into the fascinating true story on the Commodore Amiga's influence on the video games industry.

As with the original ‘From Bedrooms to Billions’ the filmmakers balance the ‘The Amiga Years!’ with nostalgic archive footage, stills and music with newly shot interviews with some of the original Amiga design team as well as with some of the biggest names in video game development, publishing, music and journalism from across the last 30 years.

The Amiga featured some truly stunning games and many of the creators of those games appear in The Amiga Years movie such as:

Eric Chahi (Another World),
Bullfrog (Syndicate, Populous),
Paul Cuisset (Flashback),
Martin Edmondson (Shadow of the Beast),
Team 17,
Magnetic Fields,
Factor 5,
 DICE,
 Cinemaware and many many more....

It will be released in September 2016 on DVD and BluRay
and available in both Standard and Special Editions.

It is available to Pre-Order now at Europe's Number One Retro Gaming Destination

General Manager of FunstockRetro.co.uk, Andy Pearson:
"I am a huge fan of the original film and like many other viewers was eager for the creators to expand more on the individual sections of the movie - especially on the Amiga! They have searched far and wide to make this as extensive as it can possibly be and the fact the running time for "The Amiga Years" is the same as the original movie (which covered a whole host of systems) shows the level of detail they have gone into!"

Producer & Co-Director Anthony Caulfield said:
“The Commodore Amiga reset the previous boundaries, the very exploration of what was possible in itself led to an incredibly important and pioneering era for the games industry where skilled developers from across the world were able to strive for new innovations, set free by this incredible technology. When making this movie we discovered the blood, sweat and tears but also the sheer passion and love involved in creating the Amiga, as well as learning the machine’s true heritage, as the people behind it had already contributed hugely to the industry at that point! Once the Amiga was released in 1985 we were also fascinated in exactly what the developers and other users from around the world who experienced it truly thought when they got to grips with it, how did it change their development, what opportunities did the computer give them and what effects did that have and perhaps continue to have on the industry today?”

Fellow Producer & Co-Director Nicola Caulfield said:
In our previous film From Bedrooms to Billions, for running time reasons we could not explore the Amiga era as deeply as we wanted to, and always felt that it would work as a standalone feature documentary. Therefore, we have filmed a whole new set of interviews to create a standalone, immersive and highly nostalgic film that really explores why the release of the Commodore Amiga and the era that soon followed was a key period in the evolution of video games.”

Jason Kingsley OBE, TIGA Chairman and CEO & Creative Director, Rebellion:
“It is hugely encouraging to see such continued demand for high quality reportage of our industry’s cultural heritage. “
“Another enthralling film that covers what can genuinely be called a paradigm shift in how games were made, and how technological progress began to transform a bedroom hobby into a complex global artform.”
